Custom Showcase

Many museum and gallery fit out projects require a combination of proprietary and custom fabricated showcases in order to realise the full design intent of an exhibition. For these clients Designcase also offer a custom-built showcase design and manufacturing service to meet our clients specific display requirements.

We have a wealth of experience in the design and manufacture of Museum and Gallery showcases and using materials, finishes and fabrication principals from our industry standard proprietary showcase product we are able to custom design and build a high performance showcase and solution to your requirements.

Our custom made showcases range from simple protective acrylic covers through to high performing complex display cases. Custom showcase solutions often take the form of a joinery and proprietary showcase combination, combining both system showcase products, and special, customised showcase components resulting in secure, user friendly custom-made showcase solutions for almost any application. Our state of the art manufacturing and production facilities allow us to design, detail, prototype and test new concepts and ideas, with a view to producing high quality solutions.

Having both our showcase manufacturing and joinery facility in the same purpose built factory, we are better able to offer a complete custom manufacturing and installation service and a significant investment in fabrication machinery and tooling enables us to undertake almost any fabrication task in-house. In addition, we also have a strong, reliable network of trusted subcontractors to call upon if required.

Our ability to offer industry standard proprietary showcase products and custom design-and-build showcases puts Designcase in a unique position within this specialised industry and we are happy to be involved in the developmental stage of an exhibition, so that possible display solutions can be identified and resolved at an early stage of the project.

We work closely with lighting, multi-media and AV contractors to integrate different display elements into one complete solution and always consult with appropriate conservation and collections staff when developing custom made or unusual showcase solutions to ensure the safe and appropriate display of important and sensitive Objects and Collections.
